Tambourine Press was started in 2015 in order to
give writers the opportunity to publish their writing
easily and simply at minimal cost. It's a publishing
house for writers of quality and experience. We will guide
you through the publishing process and you can decide how much you want to do yourself in order to keep costs low and how much you want us to do for you.
Many poets may never find a publisher - there is little money in publishing poetry. So this is a route to publishing your own - but with a publishing company name and logo.
You can take your book with you to any poetry performance - it will look professional.
Many writers of fiction or non fiction do not have time to spend hours hunting for a publisher who might be interested in their 'genre', which may or may not fit a narrow list of criteria. This editor has been down that route, wasting hours.
Tambourine Press is a bridge you can cross to publishing your book easily, using the e-book as well as print /paperback book routes. This way you can speed up the process, give you back control and keep costs to a minimum.
When you've finished writing your book, there's a whole list of things to do from editing, to book layout, to uploading to your chosen e-company, to cover design, to printing. Then there's the launch to think about, followed by how to market and publicise your book. There's a long to do list and the only way is to tick things off the list one by one. If you don't enjoy DIY, then we can step in to the process. We have an upfront fee scale, task by task.
The great thing about joining the ranks of 'Indie authors' is that YOU are in the driving seat, you are not at the mercy of a publishing team. You get to choose your own cover design. You write your own forward, arrange the contents the way you want. Of course you may need guidance here and there. We can help you with that.
And remember, being an 'Indie author' means you can build up a better income from sales - some books become best sellers - you can do it, if you use a consistent marketing strategy
and use social media well. You can get royalties of from 30%-70% .... better than the single figures offered by big publishing houses.
